Dr. Soumitra Shankar Datta is a Senior Consultant of Palliative Care and Psycho-Oncology in Tata Medical Center Kolkata. He completed his MBBS degree from R G Kar Medical College. After he get his DPM and MD (Psychiatry) from Christian Medical College, Vellore. Dr. Soumitra Shankar also completed DNB (Psychiatry) from National Board of Examinations, India and MRCP (Psychiatry) from Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK. He is a very experienced and well educated doctor. In 2009, he also completed a special course of CCT (Child & Adolescent Psychiatry). Before joining Tata Medical Center Kolakta, he worked as a Consultant of Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, South London & Maudsley NHS Trust, London.
