Dr Sujay Gupta I want to question you that you operated TURP on 20.10.23. after operation I got lickage of urine for 3 months then took radiation but still now there is incontinence. I visited another uro oncologist who told turp was not operated properly that is why again I have been operated cystoscopy with BNI. So if you could not do well don’t do bad to the patient because patient visit to you for good treatment spending a lot of money through out their life long earnings

      1. My father had muscle invasive bladder cancer and he used to have severe pain along with hematuria from October 2023. He underwent a TURBT at RG urology in the end of October, but his symptoms recurred.
Upon contacting TMC in November my dad was referred to Dr Sujay Gupta, and I got the appointment in January 2024.
He suggested for a maximal TURBT again and DJ stenting and did not entertain much regarding explaining whether the pain and hematuria will be cured.

The treatment process at Tata Medical was painfully slow, the doctor was neither amicable nor answerable. He took around one month for tests and made unnecessary delays in appointments, my father had to wait long hours from the early morning till late evening just to have a less-than-5-mins chat with the doctor. After that he was admitted in TMC in February 2024. and stayed there for 9 days, where he was almost always attended by the junior doctors, the concerned doctor used to hardly visit and even then out of arrogance he was very reluctant to explain the state of the patient. At the time of discharge, when I approached Dr Gupta to request to visit my father and reflect on the future treatment steps, he simply said “all instructions are already given”, although he was just gossiping around with his fellow doctor outside. Did not expect such rude behavior to an elderly patient, the patient “care” part was completely missing – too professional / gaudy / insensitive / inhuman to provide minimum care to a critical patient.

During his 9-days admission at TMC under him, when the CT-scan and PET-CT / local radiation could be easily done, but nothing was done then, it took few more weeks to get another appointment and get the test done, by then I was informed that the disease had progressed to grade 4 (prior to OT it was grade 2 with CT), with bone metastasis, after which my dad was referred to Dr. Mojes Arun Singh, who denied radiation and mentioned immunotherapy. They could have earlier sent to medical oncologist instead of uro-oncologist and radiation-oncologist and suggested targetted therapy / immunotherapy, so that early treatment along those lines could have been more effective, but they did not, instead wasted a whole lot time, adding to the harrasment and suffering of the patient and the family.

Finally my dad passed away on July 2024, within 9 months he was diagnosed with cancer, had he been received a little more care from the doctor, he could have survived longer.
