Doctor Apurva Ashok is a renowned Consultant of Thoracic surgery in Tata Medical Center Kolkata. She completed her MBBS M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. After that she completed DNB (General Surgery) from Southern Railway Headquarters hospital, Chennai. Then Dr. Apurva pursued her fellowship training in Thoracic onco-surgery from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Subsequently, she obtained a fellowship in Thoracic surgery from University of Toronto (UHN), Canada. She joined Tata Medical Center, Kolkata in June 2023 as Consultant in Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Ashok started the minimally invasive (VATS) lung surgeries at Tata Medical Center. She is also well versed in endoscopic airway procedures such as EBUS and tracheobronchial stenting. Her areas of interests include lung and esophageal cancers.
